| My Cottage |
| When In became a Member of Parliament in 1987 I was living in London. It was necessary for me to stay in London because that is where I work 5 days a week. However, I would also have to spend a lot of time in Maidstone, my new constituency. So, I bought a little cottage. |
| Actually there was not much left of the original older cottage, which used to be a one-roomed house and the newer extended bit made it quite a modern house. |
| I spent a great deal of time in my Kent cottage but sadly this summer I have decided to move back to London as I plan to retire at the next Election. Nonetheless, I had one last chance to enjoy it, especially the garden, which is mature and beautiful. Here I am on my final day with my cottage behind me. |
